{"id":205,"date":"2010-03-28T18:29:55","date_gmt":"2010-03-28T18:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/?p=205"},"modified":"2010-05-16T18:31:14","modified_gmt":"2010-05-17T01:31:14","slug":"205","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/?p=205","title":{"rendered":"Knysna Branch and Jeffery Bay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We attended church today in Knysna (pronounced Nizna).\u00a0 It is a small tourist town on the garden route in the West Cape.\u00a0 The branch had about 36 people and they were all glad to see us.\u00a0 About half were English transplants \/ retirees.\u00a0 The rest were local from a nearby township.\u00a0 This combination made for very interesting dynamics.\u00a0 It was interesting to go to church that was controlled completely by the English.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_206\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-206\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_1829.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-206\" title=\"South African Rest Stop\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_1829-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_1829-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_1829-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">South African Rest Stop<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We had to include the photo on the right.\u00a0 This is a typical South African rest stop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We stayed the night in Jeffery Bay.\u00a0 We found a great place on the beach.\u00a0 It was one of our less expensive and nicest places.\u00a0 Two sliding glass doors with an all-beach view.\u00a0 The moon was almost full and the light was reflecting off the Indian Ocean.\u00a0 You could see the a row of cargo ships on the horizon.\u00a0 I counted at least 12 at one point.\u00a0 I had fun playing with Erika&#8217;s camera &#8212;
