Jared Kayaking in Cabo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_249\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-249\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_2056-s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-249\" title=\"IMG_2056-s\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_2056-s-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_2056-s-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.erika-jared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/IMG_2056-s.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-249\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Some of the rock formation we kayaked around (photo taken from the ship).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After kayaking and snorkeling we walked into park of Cabo.\u00a0 It is always interesting seeing the similarities and the differences of the different tourist towns that I have visited.\u00a0 We really enjoyed Cabo.\u00a0\u00a0 It was quaint and I would love to return sometime soon.<\/p>\n<p>Next\u00a0 stop, <strong>Mazatlan<\/strong>:\u00a0 We did not take an official excursion in Mazatlan.\u00a0 We ended up walking from the Pier to downtown and then wandering around downtown.\u00a0 I love looking at the architecture and Jared was having fun teasing me for all the pictures I was taking.\u00a0 After walking to a cathedral we were getting quite warm.\u00a0 We decided to catch a taxi to go to the beach.\u00a0 (We had probably walked for close to 5 miles already).<\/p>\n<p>The beach we went to was not the pristine white sand and crystal clear water, but it was nice to get into the water and cool off.<\/p>\n<p>After we were done swimming, we walked around the tourist shops near the beach.\u00a0 It was here that I found my souvenir, a beautiful coral pendant.\u00a0 When we finished shopping we caught another taxi back to the ship.<\/p>\n<p>Final stop,<strong> Puerto Vallarta: <\/strong>Here we took another excursion, an hour boat ride to Marietas Island where we snorkeled and kayaked in pristine waters.\u00a0 We spent a good portion of the day playing in the water off of Marientas Island.\u00a0 The boat ride back had an open bar and food.\u00a0 I enjoyed my fair share of virgin pina colatas.\u00a0 YUMM!\u00a0 The people we were sitting by were enjoying all the alcohol they wanted.\u00a0 One of them (who was definitely inebriated) spilled their drink on me.\u00a0 Fortunately, I was able to take a quick dip into the water off the boat to rinse off.\u00a0\u00a0 Just one of the memorable experiences&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When we returned to Dock, we decided to pass on the taxi to downtown Puerto Vallarta and we walked across the street and explored the Walmart.\u00a0 It was huge and it was interesting to see the similarities and differences between Walmart here.\u00a0 We picked up souvenirs and then took a walk and explored on foot some of the non-touristy areas of the city.\u00a0 The poverty was stunning.\u00a0 It started getting dark so we returned to the ship, weary from our adventures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ship:<\/strong> Jared and I learned quickly that it is important to select a ship that has enough to keep us entertained.\u00a0 Compared to our last cruise there were very few things to do on the ship.\u00a0 I finished the books that I had brought and we still had a day and a half to go.\u00a0 Next time we go on a smaller boat I will make sure to have a few more books.\u00a0 Other than that we had a fabulous time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okay we didn&#8217;t even last 6 months before we decided we need to go on another cruise.\u00a0 It helped that we found a steal of a deal and so again with only a weeks notice we were off sailing!
